Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/28/16

1/28 is the day of Earth Rooster in the month of Earth Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It brings out Amiable deity, favoring those who are self-confident, decisive, strong willed, firm undemanding, and calm. It favors those who engage in independent professions.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day to take initiative make headway in your career.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for romance.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent toward Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 34, line 4.

Hexagram 34 is Dazhuang, Great Power. It is time to persevere. This hexagram is evil in winter.

Line 4 advises not to force matters. The zodiac sign of line 4, Horse, is weak by the season, and, by the hexagram, indicates your resources, or what supports you: your reserves of energy, your home, nourishment, education, and so on. Support is not so strong here. Horse is mostly in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2 and 6, but is neutral toward the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign of the month. It can get exhausted and run down. Take care of your health. The Earth of Earth Rooster day puts a dragon in line 4, however. This encourages you to use your resources intelligently and positively, and not let yourself get exhausted.
