Chinese astrological I Ching reading for 1/29/16

1/29 is the day of Metal Dog in the month of Earth Ox. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors those who are giving, caring, accommodating, and inclined to philosophy and religion. It give good fortune and luck.
Dog is the Star of Art for Tiger, Horse and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for creative work.
Dog favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Ox, Dragon, and Sheep; and is ambivalent toward Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 10, line 5.

Hexagram 10 is Lu, Treading. One steps on the tiger's tail. It does not bite. Success. Danger. This hexagram is good in winter.

Line 5 Proceed resolutely and aware of the danger. The zodiac sign of line 5, Monkey, is strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, represents one's creative, or business aims. Monkey clashes with the signs of changing line, 1, but is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Metal of Metal Dog day puts a worm in line 5. Progress is hindered.
