Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/5/16

1/5 is the day of Fire Dog in the month of Earth Rat. This is a harmonious combination. It favors those who are hard working, forthright, disciplined, responsible, rational, trustworthy, and not inclined to lead.
Dog is the Star of Arts for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Dog favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Dragon, Ox, and Sheep; and is uncertain about Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 35, line 4.

Hexagram 35 is Jin, Progress. The powerful prince is honored with many horses. He receives an audience with the king three times in one day.

Line 4 says it is dangerous to advance like a rodent. The zodiac signs of line 4, Rooster and Dog, are in discord with one another, suggesting being ill at ease. Rooster and Dog are strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, signify people you may deal with in business, or business relations. It can be awkward. The Fire of Fire Dog day puts a tiger in line 4. A bad move can result in disaster. The tiger spells injury. There is a serious imbalance of power in this.
