Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/14/16

1/14 is the day of Wood Sheep in the month of Earth Ox. This is a discordant combination. It can cause sudden changes, not necessarily for the worse. It brings out the deity of Unconventional Wealth, favoring those who are apt at financial management, sociable, generous, flexible, and tactful. It favors speculative professions.
Sheep is the Star of Arts for Sheep, Pig, and Rabbit. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Sheep generally favors Sheep, Rabbit, Pig, Horse, and Snake; is neutral toward Monkey, Rooster, Tiger, and Dragon; clashes with Dog and Ox; and is ambivalent toward Rat.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 22, line 1.

Hexagram 22 is Pen, Grace. Success in small matters, It is good to do something. This hexagram is good in winter.

Line 1 He leaves his carriage and goes by foot. This is simplicity. The zodiac sign of line 1, Rabbit, is strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, represents your ability to stand up to challenges. Rabbit is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Wood of Wood Sheep day puts a dragon in line 1. This is auspicious. Success.
