Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 3/6/15

3/6 is the day of Metal Snake in the month of Earth Tiger. It is also the beginning of the solar period of 4 Wood Star, denoting 31 days of flexibility, change, and greater ease of movement. The combination of Metal Snake and Earth Tiger is partly harmonious. It brings out the Deity of Primary Resources. Deity of Primary Resources favors benevolence, giving, caring, and endurance of hardships. It also favors academic studies, pursuit of knowledge, and careers in such areas as teaching, nursing, publishing, metaphysics, and the arts.
This combination also brings out the star called Tien Yi. It resolves difficulties and brings good luck.
Snake is the Traveling Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is an active day, good for traveling, rearranging your home and/or work place, and for making positive moves in your career.
Snake favors Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; is neutral toward Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 17, line 3.

Hexagram 17 is Sui, Following. Great success. Perseverance is favorable. Do what is blameless.

Line 3 says aim high, follow what is high and strong, not low and weak. The zodiac sign of line 3, Dragon, is in harmony with the signs for changing line, 4, and in partial harmony with the signs for the day and month. The Metal of Metal Snake puts a dragon in line 3. Be resourceful in meeting your challenge. The dragon is auspicious. Success.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Wood. Help comes from all directions.
