Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/14/16

7/14 is the day of Fire Rooster in the month of Wood Sheep. This is a harmonious combination. It has the nature of resolving while taking advantage of difficult situations, and favors (occult) research and speculation.
This day is designated as inauspicious and full. It is best to not get into complicated situations today, as they will grow to become a big mess.
A Full day is good for signing agreements, but make sure you know what you are getting into. The day is also good for house warming parties, and collecting debts.
The lunar mansion of this day is Dou, or the Dipper. It favors wealth, as well as literary and military success. It is also good for fengshui work, especially for commercial places. This is not a good day for starting a new job or forming a new business partnership.
Rooster, the sign of this day, is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day to concentrate on your work.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent toward Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 50, line 2.

Hexagram 50 is Ding, the Cauldron. Great good fortune.

Line 2 Be content with what you have, and don't worry about what others think. The zodiac sign of line 2, Pig, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, represents power. Pig is in harmony with most of the signs of changing lines, 3, 5, and 6, and with the signs of the day and month. The sequence of elements is outwardly unproductive. It favors inner work, concentrating, thinking deeply, contemplating. The Fire of Fire Rooster day puts a worm in line 2. It calls for patience.
