Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/18/16

7/18 is the day of Metal Pig in the day of Wood Sheep. This is a clash combination. It favors independence and speculation; good for making money.
This day is designated as inauspicious and stable. It is overly yin, and because of that you can waste time. But, a stable day, it is ok for activities with long term effects or long term goals, such as marriage, signing agreements, contracts, opening a business, starting construction, moving house, and getting medical treatment. It is not good for traveling.
The lunar mansion of this day is Shi, or Room. It is good for marriage, and starting a new business, and it signifies many children and grand children. Everything in this direction is good despite the yin nature of the day.
Pig, the sign of this day, is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for making progress in your work, and cleaning, making fengshui adjustments, or rearranging your home, but is not so good for traveling.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 17, line 3.

Hexagram 17 is Sui, Following. Great success. Persistence if favorable. No blame.

Line 3 strongly advises loyalty. The zodiac sign of line 3, Dragon, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money. Dragon is neutral toward the signs of the day and month. The Metal of Metal Pig day puts another dragon in line 3. The overly yin nature of the day could weaken and hinder activity, but the dragon strongly encourages action nonetheless.
