Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/3/16

7/3 is the day of Fire Dog in the month of Wood Horse. This is a strongly harmonious combination. It favors creativity and competiveness, good for artists. The combination harbors a Knife Blade, warning of potential unexpected violence.
This day is designated as inauspicious and stable. The day is inauspicious because it harbors shar, or killing forces. You need to be alert and avoid negative situations. It is fairly good, however, for renovations in progress, starting renovations, starting new work, opening a business, and getting married.
The day being 'stable' says that it is ok to start something long lasting, like marriage. It is also good for signing contracts, also for timing official openings, starting new construction, getting a new pet, holding a house warming party, and going for medical treatments.
The day is in the lunar mansion, Xing, or Star. This lunar mansion confirms that it is a good day for marriage, and it is good for starting important projects, and for official openings.
It is not good for moving house, however, unless the move is temporary and you intend to move again.
Dog, the sign of this day, is the Star of Art for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is an especially good day for creative work.
Dog favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Ox, Dragon, and Sheep; and is ambivalent toward Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 6, line 4.

Hexagram 6 is Song, Conflict. You have good intentions, but run into opposition. Stopping halfway is good. Pushing ahead risks disaster. It is good to seek counsel.

Line 4 advises rejecting conflict. The zodiac sign of line 4, Horse, is void. It is tricky. Horse is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies colleagues. Because it is empty it warns that someone can spring a nasty surprise. Horse is in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2 and 5, is in harmony with the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign of the month. The Qi is tricky. It is productive, but potentially destructive. The Fire of Fire Dog day puts a tiger in line 4. Avoid conflict.
