Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/21/16

7/21 is the day of Wood Dragon in the month of Wood Sheep. This is a harmonious combination. It favors hard work and competitiveness.
This day is designated as excellent and receive. All positive activities done this day bring improvements in fortunes.
A receive day is good for obtaining all that is useful. It is good for fair exchanges. It is good to start a job and to close a deal. It is not good for burials, medical treatments, and for visiting the sick unless you want to catch their sickness.
The lunar mansion for this day is Kui, or Astride. It warns against official openings of businesses as that could set up conditions that result in legal problems down the road. It is good, however, for traveling and for renovating.
Dragon, the sign of this day, is the Star of Art for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs, this is a good day for you for creative work.
Dragon favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is ambivalent toward Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 8, line 3.

Hexagram 8 is Bi, Loyalty. Good luck if you are sincere. Those who are uncertain gradually join. Late comers lose.

Line 3 Loyalty to the wrong people is unfortunate. The zodiac signs for line 3, Rabbit and Rooster,  clash. Neither are strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, represent power and productivity, suggesting demands made on you. Rabbit and Rooster are in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2 and 5, and with the signs of the day and month, showing mitigating conditons. The Wood of Wood Dragon day puts a worm in line 3. Pay close attention to details.
