Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/12/15

8/12 is the day of Metal Monkey in the year of Water Sheep. This is a harmonious combination. It promotes prosperity, resolves difficulties, and brings help if needed.
Monkey is the Traveling Star for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be an active day, good for making headway at work, and traveling.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 62, line 4.

Hexagram 62 is Zraoguo, Preponderance of the small. Small things can be done, but not great things. The flying bird brings the message that it is not good to fly up, but good to remain below.

Line 4 advises flexibility and not forcing things. The zodiac sign of line 4, Horse, is weak in relation to the season and the hexagram. It represents authority, hard work, challenges, enemies, and issues of power. In a weak position, it advises some degree of flexibility and caution. Horse is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 6, is neutral with the sign of the day, and in harmony with the sign of the month, but is further weakened by the sign of the month. There is money to be made, caution notwithstanding. The Metal of Metal Monkey day puts a raven in line 4. This warns against getting into an argument under pressure.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Wood. The elements are not productive, but promise a degree of ease later on.
