Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/5/15

8/5 is the day of Water Ox in the month of Water Sheep. This is a discordant combination that can bring unexpected changes or reversals. It favors independent work, and encourages putting money away.
Ox is the Star of Art for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
The I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 15, line 5.

Hexagram 15 is Qian, Modesty. Success if you carry things out to completion.

Line 5 Not boasting to anyone, it is favorable to act. The zodiac sign of line 5, Pig, here represents your business interests, or that which you are creating. Because of the season, Pig is fairly weak. It is partly harmonious with the signs of changing line, 4, and is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. This helps it. Work can go well today. Be careful not to be taken unfair advantage of, or take on more than you can handle, however. The Water of Water Ox day puts a snake in line 5. It advises you to look beneath the surface of things. If you do, you may discover something to your advantage.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Earth. It shows money being saved up.
