Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/27/15

8/27 is the day of Wood Pig in the month of Wood Monkey. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors hard work, and resolves predicaments.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for making progress in work, rearranging your home, and traveling.
Pig generally favors Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 23, line 5.

Hexagram 23 is Bao, Splitting. When it reaches its worst, it begins to improve. It is darkest before the dawn.

Line 5 A school of fishes. Favors come from the ladies of the court. The zodiac sign of line 5, Rat, is strong by the season and hexagram. It represents your business interest, what you are creating, and, if you are a woman, your children. Rat clashes with the signs of changing line, 3, is in harmony with the sign of the day, and ineffective with the sign of the month; the sign of the month is empty and cannot help it. You may have some trouble working to make money, but will succeed. You get agreement. People are cooperative. The Wood of Wood Pig day puts a tiger in line 5. It is good to be decisive and straightforward. Don't hesitate.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Earth. Where you have most experience you will succeed.
