Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/18/15

8/18 is the day of Fire Tiger in the month of Wood Monkey. This is a harmonious, highly dynamic combination with the potential for fighting. It can turn an adverse situation to advantage; it can also do the opposite. It can bring trouble to love relationships. And it favors working and making money.
Tiger is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for moving forward in your career, reorganizing your home, and traveling.
Tiger is generally easy for Tiger, Horse, Dog, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; is neutral toward Sheep, Rooster, Rat, and Ox; and clashes with Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 36, line 4.

Hexagram 36 is Mingyi, Darkening of Light. It favors persevering in difficulties. This hexagram is bad in fall.

Line 4 Penetrating the left side of the belly and entering the heart of darkening of the light, he leaves the situation. This means that when you see the nub of the problem it is best to free yourself of it and move on. The zodiac signs of line 4, Ox and Horse clash with each other. Ox is strong by the season and hexagram. Horse is weak. Horse also weakens Ox. Ox represents those who make demands on you. Horse represents your money. Indulging those who make childish demands on you can weaken both you and them, and you end up with no money. Don't give into blind impulse. You need to know where to stop. Ox and Horse are in harmony with the signs of the day. Ox is in harmony with the sign of the month, but Horse clashes with it. The Fire of Fire Tiger day puts a tiger in line 4 causing danger of harm.

The elements of this hexagram are Water, Fire, and Earth. Wait for the time to change. Good fortune comes later.
