Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/14/15
8/14 is the day of Water Dog in the month of Wood Monkey. This is the first day of the lunar month of Wood Monkey, the first full month of fall in the Chinese calendar. The combination of Water Dog and Wood Monkey is harmonious. It favors being motivated, studying hard, and receiving help from mentors. It gives good luck and the ability to escape from difficulties unscathed, but warns against marital trouble, especially if it involves in-laws.
Dog is the Star of Art for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 29, line 6.
Hexagram 29 is Kan, Water, the Abyss. If you are sincere whatever you do will work out. Remaining hopeful brings success.
Line 6 If in difficulties, be patient. Trying to force change now will not work. The zodiac signs for line 6, Rat and Dog are neutral toward one another. Rat, in this hexagram, represents yourself. Dog represents those who stand up you, your enemies, clients, challenges and demands they make, and your power and ability to stand up and meet them. Both Rat and Dog are strong due to the season and hexagram. Rat, however, is stronger. You are stronger than your opposition. But, because Rat and Dog are neutral toward one another, they are not going to fight. You are being pressured, nonetheless. Rat and Dog are in partial harmony with the signs of changing line, 4, and are in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The situation is positively productive. The Water of Water Dog day puts a tiger in line 6. It warns that hasty decisions or actions are a bad idea. All things considered, the situation appears to be complicated and needs patience to work out.
The elements of this hexagram are Water, Water, and Water. Water takes the line of least resistance.
