Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/4/15

8/4 is the day of Water Rat in the month of Water Sheep. This is a harmonious figure. It favors independence. Water Rat in summer season has strong money interests. It is also a Knife Blade combination; it may assert itself against odds, and become impatient and angry.
Rat is the Commanding Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs you may want to move forward forcefully. Check your strength.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 2, line 6. There is a danger of attempting to go to extremes.

Hexagram 2  is Kun, Earth. Highest success through the persistence of a mare. If you try to lead, you get lost. If you follow, you may find guidance.

Line 6 Attempting to lead against odds could bring disastrous results. The zodiac sign of line 6, Rooster, is weak because of the season. It represents business interests. It is further weakened by the signs of changing lines, 3 and 5, but is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Water of Water Rat day puts a tiger in line 6. It is good to make money and develop your business. But, there is a risk; if you are heedless the tiger will attack you.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Earth. If your foundation is strong you are safe. If not, you are not.
