Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/29/15

8/29 is the day of Fire Ox in the month of Wood Monkey. This is a harmonious combination. It is good for putting money away, but poor for family relationships, especially with in-laws.
Ox is the Star of Art for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Ox generally favors Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day is number 10, line 5.

Hexagram 10 is Lu, Treading. Treading on the tail of the tiger, it does not bite. Success. This hexagram is not good in fall.

Line 5 Proceed resolutely. Be aware of potential danger. The zodiac sign of line 5, Monkey, is strong by the season and hexagram, but empty. It shows something ineffectual. Monkey represents friends and colleagues. They are empty; you cannot expect them to be of any real use now. Monkey is in harmony with the signs of the day and month, but because of its empty condition, it can act discordantly. Do not make assumptions about others. The Fire of Fire Ox day puts a tortoise in line 5. It advises keeping your affairs to yourself, and guarding against theft and of being used unfairly.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal, and Metal. Success is attainable if you act independently.
