Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/21/15
8/21 is the day of Earth Snake in the month of Wood Monkey. This is a dangerous combination. It can cause sudden, unexpected changes and reversals. And while it contains a Knife Blade that can cause anger and intolerance, it has the ability to resolve problematic situations. This combination favors entrepreneurs.
Snake is the Traveling Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a busy day, good for making progress at work, changing your home around, and traveling.
Snake generally favors Snake, Horse, Sheep, Rooster, and Ox; is neutral toward Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 43, line 5.
Hexagram 43 is Kui, Resoluteness. You must resolutely and honestly make things known. Danger. Advancing is favorable.
Line 5 advises getting rid of what is undesirable and taking the middle course. The zodiac sign of line 5, Rooster, is strong by the season and hexagram. It signifies, in this hexagram, your business interest, your career. It is strong and in harmony with the signs of changing line, 6, as well as with the signs of the day and month. There is nothing to stop it from moving forward. The Earth of Earth Snake day, however, puts a raven in line 5, warning that you could get into an unexpected fight or mishap.
The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal, and Metal. Success.
