Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/8/15
8/8 is the first day of Chinese autumn. It is the season of Metal element, and it lasts until November 8. This is the day of Fire Dragon in the lunar month of Water Sheep. Fire Dragon and Water Sheep are a partly discordant combination that favors creativity and resourcefulness.
Dragon is the Star of Art for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 26, line 2.
Hexagram 26 is Daxu, the Restraining Power of the Great. Good fortune comes from not eating at home. It is advantageous to cross the great water.
Line 2 The axle is broken. You may be held back by circumstances beyond your control. The zodiac signs of line 2, Tiger and Snake, clash. Tiger and Snake, because of the season, are both weak. They represent the need to gain insight because of challenges. They are in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 2, and with the signs of the day and month. This shows the direction to take is inward. It will help to analyze your situation. The Fire of Fire Dragon day puts a worm in line 2. There may be an obstacle you may need to look at.
The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal, and Earth. There is gold in the earth. It promises profit.
