Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/14/14

10/14 is the day of Earth Horse in the month of Wood Dog. This is a peak day for Horse. Earth Horse is also a Knife Blade combination. It acts forcefully. If it runs out of patience it becomes aggressive. The combination of Earth Horse with Wood dog is partially discordant. It favors independence, and meets its challenges head on.
Horse is the Star of Romance for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in the year or day of one of these signs, this is a for romantic pursuits. Try not to force it.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Dog, or Horse, this is a day to take initiative, especially in your career, there are limitations.
If you were born in the year of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, 10/14 and 10/15 are not auspicious days for planning important events. If you have business meetings during either of these days, wear something green to mitigate the shar (destructive energy).
Horse is in harmony with Dog, Tiger, Sheep, Dragon, Rabbit, and Snake, and in discord with Rat, Horse, Ox, Monkey, Rooster, and Pig.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 44, line 1.

Hexagram 44 is Meeting or Relationships. Wind under Heaven. People come together and go apart. A successful relationship needs dynamic balancing, neither partner being too yin or too yang. Be cautious about a seductive person; you could end up a loser.


Line 2 says it should be stopped with a brake of bronze. Do not lose your aim. If you veer off course you will have bad luck. Even a lean pig, or seemingly harmless evil, has it in him to rage about. The zodiac sign of line 1, Ox, is in discord with the signs of changing lines 3 and 5, and is in discord with the signs of the day and month, Horse and Dog. The Earth of Earth Horse puts a worm in line 1. There are obstacles. When facing obstacles you may become frustrated. Trying to force matters only results in harm.
