Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/7/14

10/7 is the day of Metal Pig in the month of Wood Dog. Metal Pig has great capacity for pleasure. The combination of Metal Pig with with Wood Dog is discordant; conditions are not the most comfortable. It calls for practicality and resourcefulness, and is good for divination.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox this is a good day for you to travel, clean or rearrange your home, move house, or make a significant change at work.
Pig is in harmony with Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, Ox, Dragon, and Rooster, and in discord with Pig, Snake, Monkey, Horse, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 13, line 3.

Hexagram 13 is Fellowship. It is a sign of openness and sharing. Covetousness, secretiveness, and greed are blinding and will cause trouble. Money, or resources shared between people is good. It is advantageous to cross the great water. Perseverance based on experience brings success. This hexagram is good in fall.

Line 3 points to mistrust. Do not turn a blind eye on disagreements, disagreeable people, or disagreeable conditions. Rectify your aim, and persevere in what is right. The zodiac sign of line 3 is Pig. Pig is in discord with the signs of the day and month, Pig and Dog. But, the Metal of Metal Pig puts a dragon in line 3. Despite discordant conditions there is luck if you persevere and are practical.

The elements of this hexagram are Fire, Fire, and Metal. Work on yourself. Refine your character.
