Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/28/14

10/28 is the day of Water Monkey in the month of Wood Dog. Water Monkey promotes studying, learning, and writing, as well as wealth and good fortune. Water Monkey with Wood Dog is a harmonious combination that favors adventurous, risky professional activity, as well as the pursuit of alternative knowledge, and includes such careers as psychic mediumship, astrology, metaphysics, medicine, research, and work of a solitary nature. This is a very good day to get a reading.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a good day for you to travel, rearrange your home, and take a positive step forward in your work.
This is a good day for you to work independently, or alone in solitude, if you were born in a year or day of Snake, Horse, or Sheep. On the other hand, it isn't the best day for close relationships.
For people born in the year of Snake, Horse, or Sheep this is not the best day for planning important events. If you must, wear something green to mitigate the shar (bad luck) of this day.
If you were born in the year or day of Rabbit, keep your eyes open for a good opportunity, and be alert for tricksters, or for possible theft, either of something material or of your ideas.
Monkey is harmonious with Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog, neutral with Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep, and disharmonious with Snake, Tiger, and sometimes Pig.
The hexagram for this day is number 61, line 4.

Hexagram 61 is Essential Sincerity. Pigs and Fishes. The truth is understood even by the least intelligent. It is good to cross the great water, and to be firm and correct.

Line 4 advises deepening your sincerity and following your course without wavering. The zodiac sign of line 4 is Sheep. It is in harmony with the sign of the day, Monkey, but clashes with the sign of the month, Dog. The Water of Water Monkey puts a worm in line 4. If you heedlessly overlook an obstacle, it will cause you trouble in the long run. Deepen sincerity is good advice.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal and Wood. Metal found in the earth can be carted off in wooden boxes. Be industrious.
