Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/18/14

10/18 is the day of Water Dog in the month of Wood Dog. This is a strongly harmonious combination that favors people who are creative and proactive. It brings helpers, and promotes good fortune and wealth.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a good day for inventive, creative, or artistic work.
If you were born in a year of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is not the best day for you to plan an important meeting or event. If you do, you can mitigate the shar of the day by wearing something black.
Dog is harmonious with Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, Monkey, and sometimes Rooster, neutral with Snake, Rat, and Pig, and discordant with Dragon, Sheep, Ox, and sometimes Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 55, line 5.

Hexagram 55 is Prosperity. Prosperity means success. Be like the sun at midday. This hexagram is good in spring, bad in fall.

Line 5 says men of ability appear. Good fortune. Employ the best helpers for the best results. The zodiac signs of line 5, Monkey and Rooster are in harmony with changing line 3, and are in harmony with the sign for the day and month, Dog. Good fortune. The Water of Water Dog puts a snake in line 5. There is something hidden. It could bring unexpected luck.

The elements of this hexagram are Water, Fire, and Wood. Where there is confusion, recovery comes soon.
