Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/21/14

10/21 is the day of Wood Ox in the month of Wood Dog. This is a partially discordant combination that promotes wealth, but can bring trouble to relationships; it favors independence.
For creative, inventive, and artistic people born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day.
For people born in a year of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is not a good day for important meetings or events. If you must, however, wear something green to mitigate the shar (bad luck) of the day.
Ox harmonizes with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig, is neutral with Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey, and discordant with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 58, line 6.

Hexagram 58 is the Lake or Joy. It is a good time to persevere. This hjexagram is good in fall.

Line 6 says that like attracts like. It can work for and against you depending on your mood. Watch your feelings and thoughts. The zodiac sign of line 6, Sheep, is in harmony with the signs of changing line 4, but in discord with the signs for the day and month, Ox and Dog. The Wood of Wood Ox puts a tortoise in line 6. All in all, it encourages practicality, hard work, and guarding against possible theft.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Metal, and Metal. Metal is cutting edge. Good fortune.
